Recurring work steps can be automated. We develop tools that simplify design and workflows – from the measurement to the finished cutting file.
A real-world example
Stencil DIY – from photo to spray stencil
Drawing spray stencils by hand takes hours: tracing outlines, securing loose parts with bridges, aligning several layers. We turned that into a tool that does these steps by itself – right up to the finished cutting file for the laser.
- Runs in the browser, no installation
- Real-time image processing
- Up to 6 stencils per design
- Export as DXF and SVG
Load and edit the image
Load a photo or logo, adjust contrast and threshold. The tool turns it into a clear black-and-white image: whatever is black will later be cut out and sprayed.
Detect the outlines
The image becomes the outline image with all cutting lines. Parts that would fall out when cut are marked in orange by the tool – the inside of an eye, for example.
Create stencils automatically
One click splits the design into several stencils in which no part falls out: first the large areas, then the details on top. Registration marks in the corners keep the layers aligned when spraying.
Check the result
Pick a spray colour for each stencil and the colour of the surface – the preview shows what the design will look like before a single sheet is cut.
Download the cutting file or have it laser-cut
The result is one cutting file per stencil as DXF or SVG. If you have no laser, send us your settings as a request – we cut the stencils in our workshop.
